Event One
SIMPLIFYING MANAGEMENT OF WALMART EVENTS
It is one-stop-solution designed for all things events – creations, management and analysis.
Project snapshot
Birth of Event One platform
Previously, Annual Events existed as a module within the ATOM, a platform that focuses only on the pre-purchase phase of event items. To better manage the entire event lifecycle, a new platform, Event One was created to handle both pre- and post-purchase activities for all event items. This integration allowed Associates to access, validate, and troubleshoot event-related information within a single platform, eliminating the need to switch between multiple systems.

What's next? Refine the live platform’s UX.

Finding #1 along with design solution

Event creation made easy!

Works best for eComm Ops team
Events that are non-weekly like annual events and W+ events can be scheduled easily with these pre-made event templates that have pre-selected event badges and site experiences.

Works best for Retail tech Ops team
With the Panini event template, the team can automate the scheduling of weekly Panini events, ensuring they’re planned in advance and removing the manual hassle of setting them up every Sunday.

Recommended files from the dataset
The system will bring in the appropriate offer and event list files for Easter 2025. The user can also upload more files or replace/edit the existing ones.

Recommended event dates for the Event
Pre-selected event dates like blackout, pre-and regular access for Easter event. The user can also edit the dates, if needed.

The system will predetermine the event type and apply the appropriate badges for it. The user can also select more badges if requried.
Suggested user for the event curated
Based on the past Easter event, event the user groups and communication channels will be selected, which are also editable.

Performance prediction
The user will also be able to see the performance of the curated event!
It will update according to the changes made by the user.

Cluttered report that creates information overload
The current event report summary in the Event One platform is a one, long randomized collection of datasets that create information overload for the stakeholder.
All the information present in the report is not relevant to every stakeholder and thus it takes effort for them to look up to the information needed to validate the event health and performance.

This personalization makes the reports more focused, organized, and actionable, helping users concentrate on the data that matters most to their work.
Create your own reports
This feature is built on the principle of enabling stakeholders to create their own workspaces, allowing them to focus more effectively on relevant data and tasks.
Create unique datasets
The feature addresses a key pain point, the need for the team to manually download datasets and write Python scripts to retrieve and validate additional data.
Moreover to enhance relevance and clarity, it allows them to filter out unnecessary information and focus on data that directly supports their goals and decisions.
A change suggested by design from the backend team
Showing real-time data enables users to make quicker, data-driven decisions and respond instantly to changes, increasing trust and efficiency.
Since real-time updates aren’t yet technically feasible at the moment, a manual refresh option is provided for each dataset section, allowing users to fetch the latest data on demand.

Personalized - automated email reports
An automated email reporting system that delivers personalized event performance reports to each stakeholder twice daily.
This solution eliminated the need for
manual report sharing, ensuring stakeholders received relevant, data-driven insights tailored to their roles, thus improving efficiency, accuracy, and engagement.
Currently, notifications are sent via email, with plans to expand support to Slack for more seamless communication and accessibility.
Extending the Experience:
From event management to identity
